Supply Chain Act
The Supply Chain Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz of 01.01.2023 - engl. Supply Chain Sourcing Obligations Act) is intended to create a legal framework to improve the protection of the environment, human rights and children's rights along global supply chains. Companies that procure intermediate goods or finished products abroad must assume responsibility for production processes and working conditions at their suppliers, trace abuses and prevent or remedy them from the outset or as soon as they become known.
The law will initially apply to companies with at least 3,000 employees in Germany from 2023, and to companies with at least 1,000 employees from 2024.
In principle, the RUCHSER GMBH FENSTERBAUMASCHINEN company has fewer than 1,000 employees and is therefore only indirectly affected by the law. However, we are committed to addressing these issues even without legal requirements.
